Mohamed Ben Sassi is one of the pioneers of bookbinding in Tunisia, having been among the first to train in this discipline at university, at a time when this practice was still little known in the country. With a specialised degree in bookbinding and an unwavering passion for the arts and crafts, he has devoted his career to introducing and developing this traditional craft in Tunisia. Based in the medina, he opened a workshop where he has been renovating, creating and teaching the art of bookbinding for many years. His goal is to preserve this ancient craft and share it with new generations. Thanks to his educational approach and expertise, each participant in his workshops leaves not only with a unique creation, but also with an enriching insight into the cultural history and craft techniques that have shaped this art.
