Wissem Hammami

Wissem Hammami discovered her passion for ceramics over time, exploring this craft on her own. She learned pottery techniques through practical training, exchanges with other artisans, and a lot of personal practice. Her work reflects her love for simple, authentic creations inspired by her environment and local traditions. Founder of Roumouz, Wissem now devotes her time to creating unique handcrafted pieces, ranging from decorative items to jewellery. Driven by a desire to share her expertise, she regularly organises workshops that are open to all. For her, ceramics is above all a means of expression, and she encourages her participants to free themselves from expectations and give free rein to their creativity.

Experience Details

Discover the joy of working with ceramics with Wissem Hammami, founder of Roumouz, an artisan brand known for its authentic and elegant creations. This workshop, open to all levels, will introduce you to the essential techniques of pottery. Whether you are a novice or an amateur, you will have the opportunity to design a unique piece, guided by Wissem's warm expertise. The experience will take place in several stages: Discovering the materials and preparing the clay: Learn how to choose and knead the clay to make it ready for use. Shaping the piece: Experiment with simple manual techniques or, depending on the session, work with a potter's wheel. Decoration and textures: Personalise your creation with engraved or painted patterns. Drying and firing: Your piece will be left to dry before being fired in a specialised kiln. One of the essential stages of pottery is the firing of your piece. Once your creation is complete, the artisan will fire it in a specialised kiln. We will then contact you to arrange a convenient date for you to collect your finished piece. The workshop is designed to be a creative and accessible experience, ideal for sharing with friends or family. At the end of the session, you will leave with a personalised piece, made with your own hands, and a new appreciation for artisan ceramic techniques.
